Part 1: General Regulations

Bahagian 1: Peraturan Am

• Cadet Code of Chivalry (Kod Kesatriaan Kadet)

Every Cadet commits himself during the enrolment ceremony to the Cadet Code of Chivalry, and promising to:

"Serve God; Be loyal to Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di Pertuan Agong, the Ruler/ Head of my State and my officers;

Observe the Motto:

Pro Utilitate Hominum - In the Service of Humanity.

Be throughout in work and play;

Help the sufferings and needy;

Be kind to all animals;

Be cheerful and prompt in all I do;

Be truthful and just in all things."

• Eligibility (Kelayakan)

  • Be between their 12th and 18th birthdays (form 1 to form 5);

    • Berumur antara 12 dan 18 tahun (Tingkatan 1 hingga Tingkatan 5)

  • Have the written consent of their parent or guardian;

    • Mempunyai kebenaran bertulis dari ibu-bapa atau penjaga

  • Be acceptable in all respects to the Commander;

    • Diterima oleh Pemerintah dari semua aspek

  • Have passed the Essentials of First Aid;

    • Telah lulus dalam Peperiksaan Pertolongan Cemas Asas

  • The date of joining is one day after passing the Essentials of First Aid examination.

    • Tarikh kemasukan merupakan satu hari selepas lulus dalam Peperiksaan Pertolongan Cemas Asas

• Age Limit (Had Umur)

  • No person may remain a Cadet after his 18th birthday.

    • Tiada sesiapapun yang boleh dijadikan sebagai seorang Ahli Kadet selepas 18 tahun

• Efficiency (Kecekapan)

  • Has a valid Essentials of First Aid qualification of Basic First Aid as part of their normal training programs;

    • Masih memperoleh kelayakan Pertolongan Cemas Asas ataupun Pertolongan Cemas

  • Attend not less than twelve Divisional Instructional Meetings;

    • Menghadiri tidak kurang daripada 12 mesyuarat

  • Carry out their SJAM obligations to the satisfaction of their officers. In Melaka's SOPs, a Cadet must carry out a minimum of fifteen voluntary duty hours of work per calendar year.

    • Menjalankan tanggungjawab selaras dengan kewajipan SJAM yang telah ditentukan. Seseorang Ahli Kadet perlu menjalankan tugas awam sebanyak 15 jam setahun bagi memenuhi kecekapan SJAM Negeri Melaka.

• Efficiency for the Year of Joining (Kecekapan pada Tahun Kemasukan)

  • Join not later than 30 September;

    • Tarikh masuk tidak lewat daripada 30 September

  • Passed the Essentials of First Aid examination;

    • Lulus dalam Peperiksaan Pertolongan Cemas Asas

  • Attend at least 12 Divisional Instructional Meetings.

    • Menghadiri sekurang-kurangnya 12 mesyuarat
