SJAMKMT Official Portal - Leadership Promotion Enhancement Program

The Leadership Promotion Enhancement Program (LPEP) is the centralised program managed by the St. John Ambulance of Malaysia, Melaka Tengah Area, State of Melaka (SJAM KMT), aiming to provide informative and comprehensive details for Cadets of SJAM KMT, preparing them to undergo and pass the NCO Review and Assessment.

The NCO Review and Assessment is the compulsory assessment to be taken and passed by Cadets of SJAM KMT, before being eligible to be nominated as the Cadet Non-Commissioned Officers (Cadet NCOs).

Objectives

To streamline and synchronize the management standard of the Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) of SJAM KMT
To enable current NCOs review and progress based on current performances

Types of Assessment

The NCO Review and Assessment is divided into two categories:

Junior Category
1. Cadet Lance Corporal - C/LCPL
2. Cadet Corporal - C/CPL
Senior Category
1. Cadet Sergeant - C/SGT
2. Cadet Leader - C/LDR

Contents and Syllabus

The contents and syllabus are divided into several categories:

Compulsory Subject

Module 1: Knowledge of SJAM
- General History and Organizational Structure
Module 2: Administration
- Forms
- Membership
Module 3: Cadet Regulations
Module 4: Operations
- Basic Food Drill

Additional Subject for Senior Category

Presentation
Formal Correspondences Preparation

Methods to Conduct Assessment

All attending candidates must be reviewed and approved by respective Divisional Superintendents/ Officers prior to taking the assessment.
A centralised-assessment-centre will be set up for all candidates to attend.
The assessment is divided into categories, which comprise of the following:
- Written test assessment
- Practical assessment
  - Foot Drill
  - Presentation (for senior-rank applications)
  - Personal Review and Interview
The assessment shall be chaired by the Area Staff Officer (Cadets), and assisted with a team of Area Staff Officers, upon getting granted by the Area's Council and Executive Board.
Candidates shall pass the assessment before being nominated as the Cadet NCOs by their respective Divisional Superintendents/ Officers.
